Meal Plans 101

Having a meal plan means more than just convenience - it's your key to enjoying craveable meals across campus. With chef-inspired menus, local ingredients, and sustainable practices, your dining experience is as dynamic as campus life.

What is a Meal Plan?

A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more, at dining locations across campus. Your Meal Plan includes Meal Swipes and Dining Dollars, conveniently loaded onto your student ID. No need to carry additional cards or cash!

Meal Swipes

Meal Swipes or Block Meals give you access to the dining halls: Perry Food Hall, Azalea Dining, Fresh Food Co, as well as McArthur Café. One meal swipe gets you a set meal at one of the concepts in Perry Food Hall, Azalea Dining, or McArthur Café.

Weekly meal swipes can be used at any time throughout the week. The weekly meal swipes expire at the end of the week on Sunday at 11:59pm. They then restart for the next week on Monday at 12:00am.

Cash Equivalency

Cash Equivalency lets you use one of your Block Meals once per day at participating retail locations for up to $8. Any amount over $8 can be paid with Dawg Dollars or a credit/debit card.

Cash Equivalency meals come from your regular Block Meal balance. For example, Weekly 21 includes 21 total meals, not 21 meals plus 7 Cash Equivalency meals.

Participating retail locations include: Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, Pizza Hut, Subway, Einstein Bros Bagels, Newk's Eatery, Bento Sushi, and Moe's Southwest Grill.

Dawg Dollars

Dawg Dollars work like a declining balance and can be used at campus dining locations, vending machines, on-campus laundry, select student concession stands, District Nutrition in College View, and Arepas on Campus in Barnes & Noble. Each purchase is deducted from your available Dawg Dollars balance.

Dawg Dollars can be added at any time.
